Export Layout (aka "Wysiwyg" Export)
As a follow on feature to our Custom Layouts capability, we now support the ability to export the exact contents of the current layout - hence "What You See Is What You Get". Unlike our standard line item table export which exports every possible column in the table schema, Export Layout will only export those columns in the current layout, and will export them in the exact order shown. If shown, Totals and Comparison columns will be exported as well. Additionally, export honors the current sort and grouping settings meaning only summary rows (the most granular ones) will be exported and in the exact order as currently displayed. For example, if you grouped (summarized) by Cost Center and Account, then export would only output a single summarized line item for each Cost Center and Account combination. Finally, if multi-currency is enabled, then line items will also be exported in the current display currency.

Externally Managed Line Items
It is now possible to ensure the integrity of line items that have been calculated by an external system. For example, you might already have systems that calculate depreciation for your current assets and would prefer to simply load asset depreciation directly (as opex line items) rather than load a list of current assets and have IT Planning calculate/generate the corresponding depreciation line items. While this has always been possible, the imported line items would also be modifiable by cost center owners, which is generally not something you want. Since incorporating line items calculated or maintained by external systems into a budget is a pretty common pattern, we added the ability to import external line items as a separately managed set of line items.

Once imported, external line items cannot be modified (they behave just like generated line items). And only BPO users can import external line items, or delete them (using the Delete All External Items command). A new system attribute (External) is provided to designate external line items.

Compare to Actuals
We recently added support for actuals in the trend chart. In this release, we've now made it possible to choose actuals as a comparison target.
