Using Maximo to manage some of the most complex assets on the planet

Aircraft are some of the most complex assets on the planet. Their complexity has increased significantly with new aircraft including significantly more software, some of which can be updated in the field. Because aircraft can fly worldwide, scheduling of maintenance requires making sure the aircraft, the required skilled technicians and the necessary tooling and replacement components are all available at the right location at the right time.

IBM has recently introduced a new industry solution to address these challenges. Based on proven IBM Maximo technology, the new Maximo for Aviation MRO provides new capabilities to meet the unique requirements of this market.
