In this video, I’ll show you how to customize the default table layout in your views, create new layouts for yourself or to share with all users, and delete custom layout.

As an Admin or Budget Process Owner, you can customize the layout to help your plan owners more quickly navigate, view, and enter the information you need to gather. A great time for doing this is prior to opening the plan to the Cost Object Owners.

Let’s begin by customizing the default layout of the Expenses View.

Click the Layout command, and then from the Layout menu, click Default Layout. Customize the table layout as needed.

Once you are done with the customization, click the Layout command, and from the Layout menu, click Save.

Once saved, all your users will have this view for their Default Layout the next time they login.

You can also create a layout and save it for future use.

Once you are done creating your layout, click the Layout command, and from the Layout menu, click Save As. In the Save As dialog box, enter a unique name for the layout, and click Save.

The custom layout will now appear in the Private list of your layouts and is available only to you.

To share your custom layout with all users, click the Layout command, and from the Layout menu, click Manage Layouts.

In the Manage Layouts dialog box, click the Public toggle button, and then click Apply.

The custom layout will now appear as a Public layout to all users in your organization.

Similarly, you can also delete a custom layout.

To delete a custom layout, click the Layout command, and from the Layout menu, click Manage Layouts.

In the Manage Layouts dialog box, click the Delete button next to the layout you want to remove, and then click Apply.

The custom layout is removed from your list of available layouts.

You can save up to 20 custom layouts, and each layout is unique to the active tab (and if available, sub-tab).
