Apptio planning applications: What's new in the 2.78 release

Release date: Aug. 31 - Sept. 11

 

In this release:

UPDATE 09/17/2020: 2.78.1 hotfix has been released to fix the CTI Enhancement issue for customers with non-standard calendars. The Enhanced Cost Transparency feature is now available to all IT Planning customers.

UPDATE 09/11/2020: CTI Enhancements released as part of 2.78 has been disabled for customers with non-standard calendars.

UPDATE 8/27/2020:  The Edit mode for group cost objects in Simplified Versioning feature has been pulled from the 2.78 release and will be rescheduled for a later release.

 

Enhanced Cost Transparency Integration (CTI)

We have enhanced the Cost Transparency Integration experience to provide centralized management and one-click import and export with Cost Transparency.  The existing CTI Settings page has been replaced with a menu page that centralizes all CTI tasks into one place, removing complexity and tedium from the process of exchanging data with Cost Transparency.
When you access CTI,  you see a new panel with the following options:
  • Configure – configure and modify your integration settings.
  • Import Actuals  –  bulk import Actuals datasets from CT
  • Import Reference Data –  bulk import Reference datasets from CT
  • Publish – bulk export plan data to CT
  • Status – view the status of data import & export requests

NOTE: You can still import and export to CT directly from individual reference data and plan line item tables via the Import from CT and Export to CT table actions.  The new CTI experience simply provides a central place to perform bulk import and export operations.

@Randi Nissen These options might solve our issues with sequence of importing and publishing Ref data where before we had to do it one after the other now it can be done simultaneously. Have a look at screen shot above.
