How to display a warning automatically when we open a module

  • 1.  How to display a warning automatically when we open a module

    Posted Mon September 23, 2024 02:17 PM

    Hi

I would like to add a 'warning message' / Infobox that gets displayed for all users when they open a specific module.

Basically, they would open a module and a pop up window would display the warning , and would have to click on the "OK" button to close it. I am not a DXL savvy so be kind with your response...

    Thanks!

    Pauline

    Hi,

You could use a trigger inside the doors module that fires when the module is opened. But triggers are sometime not allowed by company policy. So you may need to check first before following that path. As an alternative you could use a dxl attribute that is displaying the warning message. But be aware to only execute the message box on the last object otherwise you would get the message for every object. This also has some negative side effects as the message might appear in unwanted situation whenever the values of the dxl attribute gets recalculated.

    Regards,

    Nikolai
