Tammie Jo Shults, who brought Southwest Flight 1380 in for a successful emergency landing in Philadelphia in 2018, shares how her life of preparation, steady leadership and faith led her to that crucial moment in the cockpit. Our audience will get to experience it themselves by hearing flight-deck recordings between Captain Shults and air-traffic control.

After her pre-recorded keynote on the 14th, Captain Shults will participate in a live, moderated Q&A session. We will also distribute a limited number of signed copies of her book, Nerves of Steel: How I Followed My Dreams, Earned My Wings, and Faced My Greatest Challenge, to the top members of our Academy Leaderboard.
