IBM Sterling B2B Integrator v5.2.6.x will be reaching End of Service by September 2021

This blog helps customers evaluate the major changes which are available with v6.0.X/v6.1.X releases, as IBM Sterling B2B Integrator v5.2.6.x will be reaching End of Service by September 2021.

2. Installation Framework changes

Installing Sterling B2B Integrator by using IBM Installation Manager (IIM)

Installation Manager is a tool that you can use to install and maintain your IBM software packages. Wizards guide you through the steps that you must take to install, modify, update, roll back, or uninstall your IBM products.

If you are upgrading from 525 or lower versions, you will need to use IIM to upgrade or install the higher versions.

Installing Sterling B2B Integrator by using Docker

Docker is a tool designed to make it easier to create, deploy, and run applications by using containers. A container image is a lightweight, stand-alone, executable package of a piece of software that includes everything needed to run it: code, runtime, system tools, system libraries, settings.

You can deploy the Sterling B2B Integrator docker image using a single-node or a multi-node cluster - Container management using HELM Charts and deployment on Red Hat certified container for easy deployment, dynamic scaling and managing cluster nodes.

4. Deprecated adapters, services

Here is a list of adapters and services which will be dropped from the product:

  • WSMQ adapters and expected customer to move to WSMQ services
  • Zengin adapters.
  • REST HTTP adapters
  • E-invoicing module support
  • Z-Linux support dropped
  • WebDAV client and server
  • Internal Active MQ and communication
  • Advance File Transfer support
  • Sterling Integrator Mobile
  • MESA Studio: The following are no longer supported under MESA Studio:
    • MESA Developer Studio
    • MESA Developer Studio SDK, Plug-ins, and Skin Editor
    • Reporting Services
