Track: Labs – Supply Chain Information Management

Lab Title Abstract
How to secure your data transfer and transition to a zero-trust model
With the rapid pace of digitization, more than half of the data exchange happens via internet-based file transfers in any given enterprise. As more enterprises adopt more mature cybersecurity practices, criminals are going upstream to weaker targets that can maximize their blast radius, allowing them to have an impactful one-to-many attack ratio. Attacks will become more surgical as third-party or supply chain attacks damage brand reputation and shake the public's confidence. This lab will show how to implement a zero-trust architecture into your data exchange and file transfer method that is secure, scalable, and always-on for seamless connectivity and data flow across your B2B value chain and partner ecosystem.
Power Up IBM Sterling Order Management on OpenShift In this hands-on lab, students will experience how to install a complete IBM Sterling Order Management environment on Red Hat Openshift using the Operator.
  • Ease of installation and upgrades, including the sample reference implementation
  • Immediate access to all Order Management tooling, including Order Hub, Store Engagement, and Call Center
  • Use of OpenShift dashboard for dynamic and powerful operations and solution scalability
Cloud Native Features in MFT/B2B

Modernize (Upgrades) with Containers Lab will cover these areas Microservice (Scaling each pod based on the customer workloads)
I) S3 Storage (CD and COS plus B2Bi S3 Adapter
II) Kafka Adapters
III) CI/CD
IV) Health Check Assessment (Jarvis, SI Reporting)

Automate, Scale, Upgrade: MFT/B2B Containers This hands on session helps work with different technology aspects, and how to take advantage of new capabilities provided by the Red Hat Openshift Platform. A set of exercises will help you understand containers performance functionality and resilience advantages of using a Continuous Delivery Pipeline supporting a production and non-production Sterling B2B Operations Ecosystem:
I) Autoscaling
II) Self-Healing
III) Rolling/Rollback Updates scenarios using ArgoCD
IV) Helm Basics
Supply Chain Intelligence Suite - Zero to Hero in 60 minutes Supply Chain Intelligence Suite (SCIS) is an AI-based solution designed for organizations struggling with digital supply chain transformation, improving resiliency and sustainability. SCIS provides end-to-end visibility across internal and external supply chain systems, helps to monitor and identify issues and supports mitigation with recommendations and intelligent automation. Within one hour, the audience will receive their own SCIS account and create their own fully functional supply chain control tower on SCIS, learning how to integrate data, design a user experience and leverage additional services.
Revolutionize B2B Txn Processing using REST API & SelfService Onboarding of Map, PGPKeys & API config As part of this lab, Business Partners & clients will learn how REST API's are revolutionizing the B2B space by setting up their own API flows using self-service UI and exchange their Order-to-Cash txns using API's. Use self-service UI to setup API authentication types like Basic, API key, OAuth2 with mTLS authentications. Later part of lab users will have chance to setup & run more complex flows that include processing API response as a separate txn. Users will use our visibility tool to track these API txns in realtime. We will also help them navigate through a failure flow, where users will use our visibility UI tools & API's to troubleshoot, fix and restart the failed txns. Participants will also learn how to build, test and deploy maps, code lists and PGP Keys to CTE and production.
Be Compliant! Streamline Your Engineering Process with Traceable Documentation using IBM Publishing The challenge faced by numerous organizations lies in their ability to furnish comprehensive documentation, which is mandated either by their internal Quality Assurance department or by external Certification standards such as DO-178C, ASPICE, among others. The establishment of traceability holds significant importance for reporting purposes; however, the existing documents often fall short of accurately depicting the interconnections among ELM engineering artifacts. This hands-on lab aims to equip participants with knowledge about different IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization – Publishing features, techniques, and design patterns that can be employed to generate traceability documents. This session seeks to address the common deficiencies observed in current documentation practices.
Accelerating Requirements Analysis and Model-Based Design: Enabling Rapid Validation and Simulation Discover the power of IBM Rhapsody, an integrated systems engineering environment that enables rapid requirements analysis and model-based design using OMG SysML. This hands-on lab introduces the Harmony MBE process and its automation capabilities, simplifying workflows and reducing manual effort in building complex models. Rhapsody Model Manager allows multiple users to collaborate on the same model simultaneously, promoting efficient teamwork. Emphasizing reusability, architectural levels can be reused to eliminate starting from scratch. With a focus on minimal extensions to SysML, Rhapsody provides user guidance, flexibility, and automation. Join this interactive workshop to enhance your systems engineering practices and achieve increased productivity through Rhapsody's features.

IBM Engineering Requirements Management - DOORS Next v7.x Specialty Certification

This comprehensive 90-minute hands-on lab offers students a step-by-step approach to enhance hands-on skills and provide preparation for taking the IBM Engineering Requirements Management - DOORS Next v7.x Specialty Certification. It provides you with a walk-through and explanation of key features, configurations, and capabilities in the following areas:

  • Understanding of requirements management processes and practices
  • Understanding of how to manage requirements in the context of different development processes
  • Real-word experience managing requirements
  • Experience with requirements management tools
  • Understanding of the IBM solution for Engineering Lifecycle Management

Powering Up Your Supply Chain: Leveraging IBM Sustainability Software to Meet Scope 3 Goals

Leverage the power of IBM Envizi and IBM Supply Chain Intelligence Suite working together to achieve scope 3 targets. Scope 3 emissions are increasingly important in meeting their sustainability goals. However, managing these emissions can be a complex and daunting task, especially when it comes to working with suppliers.

Through a series of interactive exercises, you will live a "day in the life" engaging with suppliers, collecting data on emissions, monitoring progress towards targets, and reporting on sustainability performance. By the end of the lab, you will have a deep understanding of how to help customers achieve scope 3 targets, and you will leave with practical skills and knowledge that you can apply in your own company's scope 3 management efforts.
