Hello,

Recently we have been comparing our data with the compresstimator tool, for new project, and our supplier mentioned that IBM have announced that no further development with the DRP stack will be included in later code releases.

Just wanted to double check this, and if there any release notes around this? mainly looking to understand what the future would look like around vdisk space savings.

Hello Frank,

it's helpful if competitor reveal, that they don't understand IBM products or functions: Compresstimator has nothing to do with DR Pools, the tool you would use to estimate/analyze your data would be DRET  - Data Reduction Estimator Tool - Compresstimator is for the compression that's running on the FCM4 drives
