  • 1.  Support (TA) Tools for Gen 2 and Gen3 IBM XIV and A9000/R

    Hello,

    We have some XIV and A9000/R systems ... and I have been trying to get Support (TA) Tools in vain ...

    I am unable to download them and the "Self Support Guide" documents we got with these products indicates the following:

    The issue is that when I tried to send the email to this email address it comes back as not valid.

    I have tried to contact IBM support via the site but it doesn't let me pass the robot to talk to an agent. It asks for an IBM contract for our Systems.

    Can someone help me and give me a way to get these tools ? Replacing part using just the GUI/XCLI is like driving blind ... 

    Please help, I am desperate...

    These tools ( aka the TA tool ) are IBM proprietary, for IBM use only and held securely on IBM internal websites.

     

    I cannot tell from your profile if you are an IBMer or not. If not, then this is why you can't download the tools.

    Hello 

    Non i am not Ibm...however as i stated, these machines come with self support guide documents that clearly state to contact Ibm for the tools....

    You can check yourself by searching for XIV or A9000 on Ibm publications site.

    Why state and give an email that do not work ?

    Thanks for your reply. I will speak to IBM XIV/A900 development about why the link does not work and if we can supply the tools mentioned.

     

    I will get back to you ASAP, but as you may know, the development team are mainly located in Israel, so the replies may be delayed.
