    Hello everyone, I need help updating a StormWize V7000 2076-524, today it is on version 7.4.0.7, I would like to leave it at the latest possible, this is the first time I work with it, I didn't find a firmware download link, nor as a processor, it is unused until I update it, so I would like a tip from you on how to process it to keep it up to date for then. use, thank you very much

    Hi Douglas,

    8.4.0.11 the latest code level for this model. Your upgrade path will be;

    Step1: 7.4.0.7 > 7.8.1.16

    Step2: 7.8.1.16 > 8.3.0.3

    Step3: 8.3.0.3 > 8.3.1.10

    Step4: 8.3.1.10 > 8.4.0.11

    you can download the packages from IBM Fix Central.

    Dear Both,

    The download from FixCentral is only allowed, if the machine is under IBM Maintenance. But End of Support was on 31.Dez 2022, as you can see in the Sales manual
    Family 2076+03 IBM Storwize V7000 - IBM Documentation.

    So i think the latest level, you can use this machine is the installed 7.4.0.7

    Hi, I even found the firmware, but without the test file it won't let me run the update

    You need to get both the firmware and a supported upgrade test tool from IBM Fix Central. You may need to get a support contract in order to do this as only systems under valid support are eligible for this.

    7.4.0 is VERY old and end of support.  It will have a number of unfixed security and feature issues.  The 5XX is also very old and end of support.

    My recommendation is actually to replace this system and migrate to supported Hardware and Software.
