Unfortunately it is very long since I last worked with a 3700, but is there not a option in the gui under system or setting to go through the firmware levels of the different components?
Perhaps alternatively could you not use the LSupdate command from the CLI?

I have ordered new cache batter and I will swap it this week.
For the firmware, the spare part comes with unknown firmware, but I think for sure there is mismatch. How can I check the firmware of the new controller and downgrade it to the current one ? The Storage now is with 7.3.0.3
Thank you

Could it have anything to do with firmware mismatches?
Have you checked the battery and the various connections and seating issues?

Subject: Problem with IBM Storwize V3700 controller
Hi All,
I have a problem with IBM Storwize V3700 controller. The old controller was causing issues and I decided to purchase and swap with a new (refurbished) one. The new controller came completely without SAS card, battery and RAM. I have took them from the old one and installed the new controller. The issue is that the new one is not booting. I receive this error:

It says that the controller is online, but the node is offline. Pinging the service IP also not working. The node is not visible via console and Service Assistant Tool.
Could you please advice me what else I can try? Could this be because of faulty battery or faulty RAM?
Thank you.
