  • 1.  How to send an ISV SNMP tsveETrap intentionally for test purpose?

Would you please tell me how to send a tsveETrap from FlashSystem5045?
If I can do this at local site, I may temporarily remove power/fan assembly (trigger of Event ID 045001).
But I must do this remotely.  Any good ideas?

I have received the following cool method from Herr Christian Karpp.
    Let me share:

Unfortunately there's no equivalent command like we have to test e-mail notifications but once you've configured your SNMP server you can simply create a size 0 thin provisioned volume with auto-expand off in a non DRP. This will create a space warning and an error that the volume is offline.

eg  mkvdisk -mdiskgrp 0 -name alert_test -rsize 2% -size 0--

We added this commend in 8.6.2

    testsnmpserver

    https://www.ibm.com/docs/en/flashsystem-5x00/8.6.x?topic=chenc-testsnmpserver

Please note: this requires TLS configured SNMP.
