Three times today, and rarely in the past, have I received the above message from my FS7300.
No one else is reporting DNS issues.
I have this configured with two dns servers

    Hello Robert,

    you hit maybe following issue

There is a case where a customer may experience an increase number in 1585 errors "Could not connect to DNS server" events after upgrading to 8.6.0.4 or 8.6.3.0.  There was an added feature in 8.6.0.4 and 8.6.3.0 that includes a dns lookup timeout of 5 seconds.  This timeout value may be too aggressive for some customer network environments.  Development is looking into options to help with this situation including increasing the timeout value and APAR SVAPAR-135742 has been opened for this.

The issue happens on networks that experience packet loss.  One workaround could be to see if the customer can reduce packet drops in their network environment.
Traceroute command from the cluster to the DNS server can help determine if there is a routes that are slower than others.

    Greetings
    Tino

    Thank you.

I will run that past my boss to see if it's a network issue of concern, or if he feels addressing that is overridden by other priorities.
