  • 1.  Attempting to create cluster while control enclosure has stored cluster ID.

    Hi Need Help regarding V3700 storage , i face an issue with node 2 offline and later on Node 1 comes to Candidate . now im trying to re-configure to a new system using the USB INIT TOLL but its come to this error message "Attempting to create cluster while control enclosure has stored cluster ID." can anyone help me what to do ? thanks in advance

    Hi Henry,

    to resolve this, you need to delete the stored cluster id up front.

    In the Service Assistant GUI, select Configure Enclosure -> Reset System Data

    Alternatively, this can be done using CLI as well:

    • ssh into the node's service IP address (as seen in you browser's address bar)
    • enter command "satask chenclosurevpd -resetclusterid"

    Dear Christian Schroeder,

    Thanks i have deleted the cluster ID using this command , now i face another issue after Both Nodes are now Active . But icant access the GUI After login it will only show me white Blank Page . and on service mode i cant also change the node state to service state wsz

    Hi Henry

    Do you need the data in the storage?

    • If yes, try with Recover System option, it can bring the system up.
    • If no, you can go with Re-install Machine Code.

    But I am not sure if both of these procedures work when another node in the system is offline.
