Nominate for the IBM Champions program by 15 November!
The IBM Cyber Academy Brussels event was held on 3-6 June at the IBM Belgique-Luxembourg office in Brussels, Belgium. IBMers and Business Partners gathered for intensive days of learning and discussing the cyber threat landscape, including NIS2 and DORA as regulatory drivers to implement Cyber Resilience. The Cyber Practice Program in EMEA, led by David Chancellor-Maddison, Gonzalo de la Hoz, and me welcomed more than 80 participants and new members to the Cyber Academy community.
Presentations featured valuable solutions and insights from IBM Security, IBM Storage, and Partners to better serve customers in managing their Cyber Resiliency needs.
Sessions focused on IBM Security provided insights into the threat landscape, the IBM Security focus and showcased Threat Management, Automation, Identity and Data Security and - as an additional new focus - AI and Security. Benoit Rostagni together with Nicola Piazza, Federico Spiti, Francesco Censi, Ugur Evin and Zbigniew Szmigiero explained the capabilities in a mix of presentations and demos.
There were also sessions centered around learning about IBM Storage for Data Resilience where Ian Shave gave deep insights to the most important tasks after an attack and Christopher Vollmar and Ondrej Blaha showed and explained how multiple workloads are recovered at scale with IBM Storage Defender.
The last day featured the new SARA assessment and a unique IBM Security and IBM Storage Integrated Demo, presented and explained by Gerd Franke, Federico Spiti, Nicola Piazza, Stéphane Couteau, and Christopher Vollmar who showcased how you can use IBM Flashsystems and IBM Copy Service Manager together with IBM Security software to detect a ransomware attack and recover quickly to minimize impact.
After a full day of hard work, everyone was invited to participate in a group dinner to gather, network, and foster the camaraderie of the Cyber Academy community.
