With Q2 2023 release, IBM Storage Insights Pro detects the risk of ransomware attacks and minimizes the potential impact on your data for IBM Storage Flash systems with firmware version 8.6 or above.

IBM Storage Insights continually monitors your storage environment for unusual behaviors and alerts you to potential threats. By leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven capabilities, the platform can detect anomalous activities that might indicate a ransomware attack in progress. Timely detection is key to stopping ransomware in its tracks before it can wreak havoc on your data.
Here is the summary of the feature,
ü Detects workload anomalies indicative of a security threat or a malicious attack such as Ransomware.
ü Analyzes workload characteristics using configuration, capacity, and performance metadata.
ü Triggers an Alert on anomaly detection and sends threat notification to the security administrator and storage administrator to take appropriate action.
ü Integrate alerts with IBM Cloud Pak® for Security (CP4S) to protect the uninfected data and recover from threats to restore the workload to a normal state within a short span of time.
