製品の障害発生時に、IBM サポートに対して自動通知するため Cloud Call Home あるいは Call Home 機能の設定が強く推奨されます。
Cloud Call Home は RESTful API を用いた通知方式
esupport.ibm.com にて提供される
IBM Enhanced Customer Data Repository (ECuRep)
に対して HTTPS (TCP port 443)を用いたRESTful API にて接続
従来から提供されている Call Home は電子メール (SMTP e-mail) を用いた通知方式
障害監視のワークロード軽減、障害の早期発見や見落とし防止の効果あり
必要に応じて IBM 技術員が現地に派遣されます(有効な保守契約が必要)。
図注: ** 特別な訓練を受けた製品保守および開発部門に所属する IBM 社員のみがアクセス可能な環境(一般の IBM 社員はアクセス不能; 含む障害受付部門)
