Session Title: Fusion HCI for OpenShift Virtualization in a Disconnected Environment
Date / Time: Wednesday, Oct 23, 8:30 AM - 9:30 AM PDT
Location: South, Mandalay Bay I, Level 2
In today’s fast-evolving tech landscape, cloud migration is often seen as the natural next step for most businesses. But not all organizations can move their workloads and data to the public cloud—especially those in highly regulated industries like defense, healthcare, and the public sector.
For these organizations, IBM Fusion HCI (Hyper Converged Infrastructure) has become an increasingly popular solution, providing an enterprise production “OpenShift Cluster in a box”, on premise!
However, these industries often face another challenge: air-gapped or disconnected IT-environments with no internet access. These customers require a solution that allows them to harness the power of cloud-native applications without compromising on their stringent data security requirements. This is where IBM Fusion HCI truly shines.
I’m excited to share that at the upcoming IBM TechXchange Conference 2024 in Las Vegas, I’ll be presenting alongside Michael Baatz and Patrick Jahn on how we successfully deployed OpenShift on an IBM Fusion HCI in a fully disconnected environment.
In our session [2361], we will dive into the intricacies of this functionality, from the technical hurdles we overcame to the final implementation for our client, all without requiring internet access.
If you’re dealing with air-gapped environments and need a robust, secure, and scalable solution, this is a session you won’t want to miss. I’m looking forward to meeting many of you at this exciting event and discussing how we can help your organization tackle similar challenges.
