Hello, I'm trying to connect a Windows client to an IBM server. I'm getting a lot of errors that I need to analyze, but what's particularly concerning is that it ends up giving me this message: SQL1598N An attempt to connect to the database server failed due to a licensing issue. SQLSTATE=42968. I'm going to install the latest ACS ODBC driver to see if that resolves the issue, but I'm wondering which license it's referring to? Or what the solution would be? Thanks.

Miguel ,

Are you using DB2 Connect by anychance to connect to IBM i ?

If so , you need to check the Licence file in the correct path : https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/sql1598n-error-connecting-mainframe-db2-ibm-data-server-driver-even-though-db2-connect-license-file-exists-license-directory-install-path
