Reporting Question

Hello Everyone! Got another reporting puzzle/question for you.. 😊

We're wanting to create a report that shows the dollars coming out of the ITRT (IT Resource Towers) object across it's many allocations.

Typically to do that, I would just click on the object in the Diagram View, right-click on the table view to the left, copy to clipboard, paste into a new report, do a Show/Hide, and type in "to:" without the quotes to pull in those columns that show how the dollars are being sent from that object.

Here's the rub... We also need to pull in CS (Cost Source) object details such as cost pool and account.

Definitely not sure how to do that with the way noted above.

Do you know of a different way to show dollars per allocation line for ITRT and also pull in CS details?

One of those allocations coming out of ITRT, too, is a 'remainder' allocation, so that's the reason for wanting the CS details - to see the details of the remainder being spread.

Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

Hey Jenny,

Not sure if i understand this correctly... The values and fields have to mapped to Cost Source if you want them to show in the report.
If the value is not something that you can directly retrieve from the Metrics (ie, Cost YTD, Annual Budget etc...) you will need to create one in the Metrics. Alternatively, you can create your own formula column but that only works for TABLE ( top menu > Data > Insert > Edit) not chart.
