We have an FY21 Forecast that is ongoing and at the same time are working on the FY22 Budget.  In the past I have had to add and replace the Average Salary  table before I made a copy so I got the correct data.

There must be a better way to do this.

Thank you.

Hello Vince,

You are right, at this stage you can not create specific reference data for each plan (this possibility seems to be in the roadmap for the future ...). What you can use is the field "Adjustment effective date " and "adjustment percentage" in the labor tab to calculate a 2022 increase impact for your FY22 Budget.

sorry, I didn't realize this was in planning, not CT.

These are two completely separate plans.  1 Plan is the FY21 Forecast that is updated and a new monthly forecast created once new actuals are loaded.  the second plan is a the FY22 Budget.  They are not connected in any way.

My understanding is there is only one average salary table stored in the system.  If I were to load the FY22 average salary, the next time I update the FY21 Forecast it will overwrite the FY21 Forecast with the FY22 Average Salary table.

That is what I want to avoid.

Could you add an additional rule to the Labor Allocation Rules and have an Advanced Rule with a value in one of the other fields which would distinguish between 2021 and 2022? I haven't tested that out but it seems like it should be possible.

@Vince McCune, as you have indicated there are 2 separate plans completely independent of each other, in this situation if you were to update the reference data, it will reflect only in the new plans you create unless you go back to the previous plans and "Update Reference Data".

Does that help?
