I downloaded the Windows x64 installer but was unable to install. Just got an error message saying "This program does not support the version of Windows your computer is running".

Shouldn't x64 applications run in emulation on ARM machines? Anyone got it to work? Am i doing something wrong or is it just plainly not supported?

Hello Christopher,

I'm pretty sure the Windows (and Linux) installation image requires an X86-64 CPU, it wont work on ARM

@Pierre Viricel, Shouldn't x64 apps run under the Windows Prism emulation? The Bob exe file looks like it has been built with Inno Setup that should support this from version 6.3 or later.

Christoffer, I had a look at the recent internal exchanges around this question, and no one has been able to get the Windows x64 build to work on Windows running ARM, the x64 build must be checking the architecture or requiring other x64 components. I think a Windows ARM build might be planned, but I don't have any details or ETA.

Thanks for the reply. Bummer that the current build somehow blocks the emulation. Native ARM build would be nice. I guess i'll have to wait for that.
