 Export Tables to CSV ( for non-admin)

Hi all,

I want to provide several users of our Apptio BI capability, the ability to export tables on their dashboard to CSV without providing them the complete admin role permissions. 

Anyone have ideas on how to achieve this?

In a recent post, @Curtis Michael stated we can now export as PDF when distributing the report (link).

Hi @Rahul Talla, the ExportCSVFeatureFullAccess permission is granted to the following standard Frontdoor roles for Apptio BI:

  • Self-Service Reporting Admin
  • Self-Service Reporting User

Admins can also grant the permission to any Custom role.

Well, @Curtis Michael 

It works, but it's extremely cumbersome, as Apptio BI will send an email with a link. I take it this is what you will improve as per the post below (attaching the download to the email), but still, usability could be better. CT still wins hands down in this dept.

@Guillermo Cuadrado, good news, we're currently developing a functionality within Apptio BI that will enable you to effortlessly export data from your browser. This means you can access the downloaded file directly, eliminating the need for email notifications.
