 ERP Migration - Cost Object configuration

Hello,

Following an ERP migration, we changed all our Cost Centers in the middle of the year.

I'd like to be able to modify the reference table with a mapping between the old and new cost centers, so that they can be compared regardless of the plans selected in IT Planning and TBM Studio.

Has anyone done this before? Any guidance or advice on how to configure the data reference to maintain comparability would be greatly appreciated!

I did this when I worked at Christus Health.  I had to create mapping tables for cost centers, accounts, capital numbers, project numbers.  We even had new PO numbers.  The biggest challenge in the beginning was getting on a full ERP system with location in the GL String.  We used a combination of cost center and location (entity) for our new cost center.   For the initial mapping some old cost centers might need to be allocated to few new cost centers. Not all cost centers were able to be mapped one-to-one.   I would be happy to help if I can.

Thank you very much for your answer. I would be very interested to know how you configured the reference table "Cost Object" to keep the mapping between old and new cost centers as well as the comparibility between plans if you could provide some example?
