Hello Apptio Community,

I have two questions regarding report functionality and would appreciate your guidance:

1. Is it possible to save a report with data trees expanded to show the second layer of data? My goal is to have users see the expanded tree structure by default when they first access the report in production, rather than having to manually expand each tree.

2. Can two separate tables (each containing data trees and individual filters) be consolidated into a single table while maintaining the ability to collapse/expand the combined data structure?

Any insights, best practices, or alternative approaches would be greatly appreciated.

Hey @Seth Graddy,

  1. Doesn't seem like it. Have you tried this use case with subtotaled tables by chance? Those tables are always open but you also get subtotals. 
  2. Two separate tables could likely be consolidated into one table but depends on the object/objects and the data relationship there.
