Hello All

Please excuse me posting this question, I have no idea which is the correct user group for this.

My goal is to do an API call from an ILE RPG Program.

I am testing this on our V7R4 system & got into the QShell by typing STRQSH on command line.

I cannot proceed further as you see below I get a response that the curl command is not found.

What component does my IBM i need installed for this to work ?

Or is there a problem with syntax. I have tried with double quotes in place of single quotes.

But below link tells me it is not supported.

This will help you get started with Open Source Software on IBM i:

Yes, you can use SSL to secure the installation.

This guide is helpful to setup your user environment and path:

You can install curl RPM via the Open Source Package Management option in ACS.

curl 8.12.0-1 is available

I would also suggest installing yum which then allows you to install other RPMs just via QP2TERM or QSH rather than using ACS.

Both methods provide installation, information and update capabilities.

Scott I need steps to install curl RPM via the Open Source Package Management option in ACS.

Our admin prefer not use YUM.

Do either ACS or YUM do SSL ?
