Is there a way to set up cost centers with multiple owners so each owner can view the details of the selected cost centers rather than it being owned by "various" in the global filter.

Scenario: We have 1 AVP and 5 Directors, the AVP should see all 10 cost centers, and the Directors should be able to see 2 each.

I tried entering each owner in cost center owner mapping and row level security but it restricted the AVP from viewing and changed the ownership to "Various" instead of the 2 individuals.

HI @David Lucas

Just following up again.
You posted this in ApptioOne Planning, but you mentioned GLobal FIlters.  Are you referring to the Cost Transparency financial reports?  I'm wondering if you could have a granularity issues that could be resolved by adding the filter(s) to your object identifier.

Cheers,

Deb

Hi @David Lucas, in general you should be able to use the “Permissions - Enforce View Permissions”  under Company profile to control the data and allow Cost Center Owners to only view the plans they own. you can get more information here : Edit the Company Profile (apptio.com)  and here Manage Cost Center reference data (apptio.com).

Hi @David Lucas ,

My colleague @Abekan Koffi has provided some great resources for setting up permissions. If you've already followed that information and it's not behaving as you expect, I'd recommend contacting Apptio Support or your CSM for assistance.

Hi David,

I have a follow up question. You posted this in ApptioOne Planning but you mentioned Global Filters.  Are you referring to the Cost Transparency financial reports?  I'm wondering if it's a granularity issue and you could resolve it by adding the filter(s) to your object identifier.

If in Cost Transparency, @Debbie Hagen

As she points out, by adding the missing columns to the Object Identifier, you will get rid of the pesky {Various} values.
