 Any solution to increase precision of importing files?

Apptio will round up 2 decimal places if we manually or using Datalink to upload files. I would like to maintain the original precision values.

It seems Apptio precision is based on uploaded file cells displayed decimal places not actual decimal places. If a cell shows "15.14" but the actual value is "15.14567", Apptio precision will use "15.14" when importing the file. The trick is to increase the decimal places in the file before upload to Apptio.

Hi @Alex Ng - Apptio should not remove precision via the upload process. It may appear this way in the user interface though (please see article below). You may also confirm that Apptio has kept the precision by exporting the table and selecting "Unformatted with precision of 15 decimal places". Apptio uses the more precise number in calculations but displays only 3 decimal places unless something is specifically formatted to display more.

Thanks @Eric Glenn�, the article applies to all versions before R12. I tried in R12 but it has lost precision.​
