  • 1.  RDi 9.8 on MacOS - font/caret problem

    When using RDi 9.8 on MacOS, I have a problem where the caret is not placed correctly. The caret is often almost one character to the left of where text is inserted, and sometimes overlaps the previous character. This makes it very hard to insert text where you want it, or to delete text in the middle of a line of code.

    I have tried several different fonts in the LPEX settings, but I have not found any font that helps. This was never a problem with 9.6 on MacOS).

    I'm currently on the latest Sonoma MacOS, but had the same issue on Ventura.

    Anyone else having the same problem? Any solutions?

    Hi Jan,

    yes - I have the same problem from time to time but I had it also in RDi 9.6. I am not sure when I had it the first time but it was a long time ago so it was for sure on Big Sur also....

    When I restart RDi it works again. Thanks god the Start of 9.8 ist much faster ;-)

    This is a known bug.   I was told that it would be fixed in the next release, but the bug was reported in May.
