We use DB2 HADR to have synchronised standby database open on read only mode to avoid heavy workload on primary database, that's not possible with PowerHA only. I would lika that PowerHA manage VIP and monitor HADR replication/database roles.
So, i found one old IBM paper (https://community.ibm.com/community/user/datamanagement/viewdocument/automating-ibm-db2-udb-hadr-with-ha?CommunityKey=ea909850-39ea-4ac4-9512-8e2eb37ea09a&tab=librarydocuments) , i dont't know if there any new one ?

PowerHA has Smart Assist to handle Db2 HA. And that can be further extended for DR with storage based replication.
