Hello, sometimes I need to use ACS through a Microsoft Teams session, but I have noticed that the function keys F3, F12 and F5 do not work. What do I need to configure for these function keys to work? My temporary solution was to add them to the mouse pad panel, but I don't know how to make that option the default for all sessions. How can I solve this problem?

    Dear Miguel

What happened when you press those problematic keys?

I'm assuming your question is about 5250 session function keys. If this is the case, I'm now using IBM ACS 5250 session to teach my customer over MS Team web meeting and have no problem with any function keys at all. (I have done this many times in the past several weeks.)  I suspect you need to check your 5250 session's keyboard setting:  Edit --> Preferences --> Keyboard a  and look at the assignment of those problematic function keys.

Satid, I am wondering if the problem is not demonstrating the use of 5250, but perhaps taking control of someone else's 5250 session?  We're just looking at Teams and I've not really used it yet.

    Hello Miguel,

If you are looking to use mouse to control the function keys of the ACS 5250 session, then please try this. Before saving the *.hod profile in the emulator folder, click on the edit -> preferences -> Hotspots, check on Fnn box and check on the Show as 3-D Buttons.  Then, click ok. After this, function keys will appear as 3-D image and mouse click can be used during the remote sessions over teams.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards,

    Vinit
