We are running 1.1.94 and noticed we get an error on some client machines MSGSOCK007 - Could not connect. (Connection refused: connect), however if we try to connect to that same hod file using 1.1.92 it connects without issue. What are we missing? The .hod file is the exact same for both 1.1.94 and 1.1.92. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Dear Jeff

Does this mean you have both 1.1.92 and 1.1.94 in your PC?  If so, did you ever run the install script file of one of these two?   If not, you should run the install script of 1.1.94.

Please also provide more description of what you did that led you to the error your posted.   Another thing you can do is to click Generate Services Logs and read the file which can provide more information to analyze,

We are running both 1.1.92 and 1.1.94, we did run the installer originally. We have that issue above resolved, the extra needed ports are not open on client side, so we are working through that, however we have noticed that with some connections they work fine in 1.1.92 but in 1.1.94 (same connection files)
    we get this error:

Is there a setting or settings in 1.1.94 that need to be changed?

    Dear Jeff

I'm curious why you would want to run 2 releases of IBM i ACS on the same PC?

The message looks like it has to do with TLS/SSL somehow.  I did a Google search with "ibm i acs message ssl002" and found this IBM Technote that provided solution :  MSGSSL002 error received when trying to connect with ACS using SSL at  https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/msgssl002-error-received-when-trying-connect-acs-using-ssl

If ir does not help, then try this: How to configure IBM i Access Client Solutions client to use TLS/SSL at  https://www.ibm.com/support/pages/how-configure-ibm-i-access-client-solutions-client-use-tlsssl    If actually you do not use TLS/SSL here, just un-select the option Use SSL for Connection.
