  • 1.  Installation Process for LIC Using USB 3.0 Media

    Hello all,
    I have done many installations or  Release Changes via USB , no problem, nothing new for me.

    So I just want to Create again a stick with newest Lic Code for IBM V7R4 and had a problem doing this.
    Everything looks normal  using the Jar File like I always do, Choose lic, choose media, Create, Warnung comes that USB will be erased.
    click yes .... and a small windw pops up  with " IO Error, Access denied".
    Yes , the  port works and the stick is ok, can put anything on the stick, read and write is possible.
    Doing the same operation with an older PC running still on Windows 7 runs fine, so I can create my stick ..
    But I wonder why it is not working anymore on my other PC running Windows 8.1 !

    Any ideas where to look ?
