    The question is:
    On a power 10 with IBM i 7.4. Is there a way to create a client partition and install IBMi 7.2 on it?

    The lowest release of IBM i supported on Power10 machine is 7.3.

    I think there's a forlorn hope among some people that maybe running IBM i guested under IBM i will allow them to run a version of IBM i not normally supported on newer hardware.  Perhaps hoping that virtualization insulates them from hardware concerns.
    I don't believe that's true.
    Sounds like a FAQ type question but I couldn't get a successful search to answer this.  Satid is right, try the right group and maybe you'd get a better answer.
