Coming soon: SAP on IBM i Webcast: Establishing Trust with Certificates and TLS

By Wera Stoeckel posted Wed May 29, 2024 10:19 AM

Security continues to be a top concern for all clients as cyberattacks have become a constant threat to seemingly every company around the world. In an SAP on IBM i landscape, there are many types of communications flows going across your network and possibly across the internet, but they aren’t usually secure by default. These include between users/administrators and your servers, or between SAP systems. In our next SAP on IBM i webcast, Thom Haze and Christian Bartels will discuss TLS and certificate technologies, and then how and where to apply them to make sure communications across your network are encrypted in a secure manner. Thom Haze is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) focused on providing system availability, integrity, and confidentiality. He is the lead software developer for Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) and provides cryptography related enhancements to IBM i. Christian Bartels is the team lead of the joint IBM and SAP development team for SAP on IBM i.

The webcast is scheduled for Thursday, June 27th, 2024, at 4 pm CEST, 10 am EDT, 7:30 pm IST. Please visit the website at https://ibm.biz/SAP_on_IBM_i_Webcast to see the full agenda and register for the webcast. In reply, you will receive a calendar entry to your email address with all the information that you need to join the webcast. As usual, questions are welcome during the session. Some general Q&A time is also reserved at the end of the webcast for whatever else you may have in mind, and for your suggestions about possible topics for future webcasts.

If you can’t make the live session, we will have a replay available for registrants. We hope to see you there!
