    Hello Everyone

I have a Zebra printer for whatever reason creates an additional writer after the weekly IPL.  The printer defaults to the *RMTW000002 writer and then any labels sitting in the queue do not print. I delete both writers and then take option 2 as if I am going to make a change, press enter and the writer, ZEBRASTJ2 appears as the only writer. I release the printer and it prints fine.  I have entertained the idea of deleting the printer and reconfiguring it. Any thoughts?

You can have multiple writers assigned to the same output queue.  This is a form of load balancing.

Maybe someone wasn't intentionally trying to start load balancing but did some of the same actions?

    Ok Robert

So how do I keep the *RMT writer from starting?

My guess is that the outq associated with that zebra printer is set to AUTOSTART AND in your startup program you are specifically using the strrmtwtr command for that same outq.
