The existing field HASFOLLOWUPWORK shows that work has already been created as follow on, which tells you that someone has actually created the work order, but there is nothing in the standard work order table to flag this is required.
However depending on how your failure reporting is set up, you can have a cause or remedy code that indicates that follow up work is required then create a report that will show all work orders flagged as requiring follow up work in the failure reporting, but where HASFOLLOWUPWORK is null identifying where a gap exists.
Another way is to create a custom YORN value with a long description, but the best way - in my view - would be to ensure that it is straightforward for users to create a new Follow on WO where required - for example adding a button that calls the create WO action on the failure reporting screen would make this easier for users to select as required, and put in the relevant details.

Subject: WO field to indicate that a follow-up WO is required? (OOB)
MAM 7.6.1.2:
Is anyone aware of an OOB WORKORDER field that could be used to indicate that a follow-up WO is required?
Example: WORKORDER.FOLLOWUPWORKREQ
Thank you.
