    IntelliStation Pro machines are Intel based hardware (for Windows or Linux). The UNIX (AIX) workstations are known as IntelliStation Power. If you want to run the latest AIX 6.1 you need at least a POWER4 based IntelliStation (9114-275 model if I recall correctly...), or better a POWER5 based IntelliStation (9111-285).

    For older POWER based workstations (POWER3 and older) you need AIX 5.x or older.
