I am trying to get an explanation of this event - I have looked around and found nothing explaining what will go on. I'd like to go but have not heard any explanation of what this event is, what will be learned, why it will help us and provide business value. I am going without work at this point because I can't even say what this event is. If I am missing something, please let me know.

Hi Catilin, sorry for any confusion about the upcoming events that we have. In general, the z/OS Academy is designed for early to mid-tenure (2-10 years) system programmers on the IBM Z platform to improve their job proficiency and knowledge. For our upcoming Poughkeepsie event, it will be a 3 day, in-person only event with presentations directly from our developers. The team should have an agenda available either by the end of this week or starting early next week once the TechXchange conference concludes. Topics will include AI on z/OS, z/OSMF, modernization, Data Gatherer APIs, z/OS Container Platforms and tours of some of the IBM Poughkeepsie facilities. I hope this helps to answer your questions. You can also reach out to zOS.Academy.USA@us.ibm.com if you have any further questions.

    Hello Ryan!

Thank you for your response!  I am very excited for this event. Is the agenda available? And how do I confirm my attendance to the event?  What is the time frame? Thanks!

    Hi Caitlin,

I'm glad that you're exciting about our event! Yes, the current agenda is available on the new event landing page: https://www.ibm.com/events/reg/flow/ibm/KTYNTHMB/landing/page/landing. A couple of the slots will need to be changed, but the topics listed should still be accurate. From checking the zOS.Academy.USA@us.ibm.com account and the list of confirmed registrants, I believe you're all set as a confirmed participant. The event will be in the IBM Poughkeepsie Innovation Studio (previously known as the briefing center) in building 705 on November 19-21.

    -Ryan

Thank you for letting me know! It turns out the period from the end of the sentence was being parsed incorrectly as part of the link. If you try again it now, it should work.
