Welcome to Product Potpourri Episode 7!

Over the past few months, we've gotten more great questions from our students during our Instructor lead classes.  Here are the latest four, but if you're interested in having a question answered here regarding any of the Apptio Instructor led classes let us know in the reply section below.

• Can you manually set the size of the modal pop-up windows? – At this time it isn't possible to manually set the size of the modal pop-up windows, but if this is a feature you'd like to have added to the Apptio software please enter an enhancement request via the Apptio Support desk.

• Can I create an HTML image as a live button? - In this case the answer is yes, but there's a couple of different options you'll want to consider. You could set the icon as the display of a Button component (use an <img src= ""> tag where the src is the URL to the logo) then you could have the Button be a nav button.  Alternatively, you could set the image into an HTML component with an <a href=""> tag and manipulate it so that the display is your logo.  That being said I think that might be a bit complex for some of us, like myself, who aren't really HTML experts.  We recommend this article to begin, Using HTML To Display Icons.  I'd also recommend talking with your CSM.  They will be happy to help walk through the steps.

• In my reports how do I rename multiple columns in a table at the same time? – Currently it's not possible to rename multiple columns in a table at the same time. Each column will need to be renamed individually.  If you'd like us to consider adding this as a feature please reach out to the Apptio Support team, they'll be happy to enter that enhancement request for you.

• Can I change the date range of a project? – It is possible to change the date range of a project, but there are some limitations. You will need to be on the Apptio R12 version and the change will need to be completed by the Apptio Support team.  Please open a support ticket and they will walk you through the process.
