Hi everyone,
I wanted to make a brief introduction to a project my company is beginning this quarter. We are building a Watsonx Community Assistant for the community, charities and law firms that we would like to live on mobile phones (WhatsApp or SMS, but ideally a mobile phone app) and websites.
The goal of our assistant is to help people in deprived communities/working-class communities who may be on the sharp end of police stop and search regularly. It is also going to be able to help with digital rights information.
The assistant will provide accurate and detailed information on your rights if stopped under reasonable grounds (PACE) section 60 (suspicionless ) and stop and account stop and search powers. The goal is to make people feel empowered and confident that they can remain calm in what sometimes could be a stressful and upsetting situation. The digital rights information would cover DPA rights, data breach rights and more as well as of course, privacy.
For charities and law firms, the assistant could assist with client intake, user experience and customer journey. We would like our assistant to escalate to a human, be it a solicitor if needed or even a local community group that could help.
Interested parties so far include national charity StopWatch, The Open Rights Group and grassroots film production companies here in Bristol in the UK. We have reached out to enterprise law firms and have our initial conversations this week and plan to host a demo in IBM Tech Zone and a presentation at the Innovation Studio London. We are intending to go out for R and D funding, but I´d love to know, on the basic premise above what some of you think and what a scalable Watsonx Assistant could look like.
We believe this project meets corporate responsibility and is an ethical use of artificial intelligence. I would love to introduce a predictive model to the enterprise version of our assistant to help provide in-depth advice.
