Looking through the documentation for defining alerts in Cognos, I found this snippet about watch rules: You cannot create new watch rules in the current version of Cognos Analytics. However, if you have existing watch rules, they were created in a past release and will continue to work in Cognos Analytics. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSEP7J_11.1.0/com.ibm.swg.ba.cognos.ug_buxc.doc/t_ug_buxc_define_alert_details.html#ug_buxc_define_alert_details

Does this mean that watch rules are being phased out? If not, how are new watch rules created? If so, how can users define alerts now?

@SAMI EL CHEIKH - thank you for that information. What capability does v11 have to enable users to track a KPI and receive an alert if the value meets a specified condition? It looks like that is possible in Event Studio, but it seems that Cognos is moving away from the Studios as well. Any insight you could provide would be most helpful.​
