i am new to websphere

i am installed  websphere application server nd 8 on my laptop(windows) and i installed IBM http server 8  its working fine i deployed application its showing IN was 8 running state , but i am not able to acces throuGH webserver (  ex http:localhost:/myapp 


DID I NEED TO INSTALL PLUG-IN FOR IBM HTTP SERVER 8?

   yes, you need to install the WAS Plugin and add the HTTP Server to the WAS configuration.

Have a look at the HTTP Server section at education assistant:

--> The section is for WAS V6.1, but still true...

I guess you have to study the application server architecture first before installing it in order to utilize it well!

If you do not have a local web server, you can still access the application in Webphere by using localhost:/ and replace the values with those that are appropriate.  It's not as pretty as using a plugin, but it satisfies the need at times.

i got clear picture now can you guys tell me where i can find
Web server plug-ins for v8  tried to find ibm website but i found v7 not 8 where i can get v8 plug in

The plugin is packaged in the suppliments package of the main release.
