Looking for input from the Websphere community.  
Has anybody had any positive or negative expierences implementing or supporting the WAS 7 support packs?  We need to make a decision on applying the JPA 2.0 support pack to WAS 7 or build out a brand new WAS 8.0 environment that has JPA 2.0 baked right in.  
Any input would be valuable.

      Based on the requirement, we need to check all the scenario's. If everything is ok then better to go for latest version 8.0

I would need to understand the drivers behind the WAS 8 recommendation, because building out and supporting an independent WAS 8 environment would certainly have a cost associated with it.  My initial reaction is "Why would I do this when I currently only support a WAS 7 environment that I can dump a "free" support pack onto? ".  Has there been a high TCO associated with supporting support packs or poor user expierence or something similar that would drive me to the WAS 8 environment?  Why 
I just need something tangible to back up the recommendation to go to WAS 8!
