Hi all,
We're pursuing a strategy of buying a mixture of 1year and 3year RIs for various Resource Families within our RDS and EC2 fleets - some nice savings coming through, with the added flexibility of being able to make a similar set of decisions in 1 year's time.

Does anyone have a report/dashboard that intuitively visualizes this sort of strategy?

One of our consultants calls this technique "layers of the cake"....

I'm looking into this for you and see if we can find a good pre-made dashboard for you.  So far the only one I could come up with easily is the EC2 reservations sample dashboard, but let me see if I can push this our for a broader search.   Also since I didn't see your company name in your profile I wanted to verify which company you're with.  Are Rick Wright with IDP?
