    BTDT. I had this issue with VGs on shark. Ran lquerypr -ch on each vpath. Google for more info.

    lquerypv -D {hdisk} (this will return the number of VGDAs on the disk)
    chdev -l {hdisk} -a pv=yes (this will re-write the PVID on the disk)
    importvg -y {vg} {hdisk} (this should import the VG.)

    If this doesn't work then the VGDA may be corrupted and the only way to get it back is a call to IBM and they MIGHT be able to recreate the VGDA from another disk in the VG.
