When i look at the Disaster Recovery Topology shown in the UCD documentation I am struck by the fact that while I have a replicated database and shared file system, there is only one instance of the Rational Common Licensing (RCL).  Assuming my installation of my Active UCD and RCL servers are all on prem in my own DataCenters and I put my cold standby is a geographically separate DataCenter, how will UCD be able to deploy without a connection to the RCL should my primary DataCenter be taken out by rouge aliens from outer space?   

I was under the impression that UCD would not allow deployments without an attachment to the licensing server.  A quick look at the RCL documentation didn't show a DR configuration.

Can someone point me in the right direction and set me straight?

For cold standby license server you can get a so called "Duplicate License Keys For Disaster Recovery Agreement" where a duplicate of your licenses are created for your DR site. Please contact your IBM Sales representative for more details.
