I'm excited that I will be involved in a global project to upgrade our existing Maximo 7.6 from on-prem servers into Maximo Application Suite on the IBM cloud platform starting this year. Some interesting challenges involving users having been used to the flexibility and ease to customized the application when it is on-prem will lose that flexibility since one of the premise for the project is to stay with what MAS standard functionalities and avoid customizations.

Also, a challenge is to find a corporate lead base in Singapore or China to manage the global MAS who has an enterprise mindset with leadership skills, and an experience in system administration and configurations for Maximo application.

Would be interested to hear migration and user experiences on MAS8 SaaS, including what to look out for.
