    the files are(see above dir) when it asks me the following:

    "INPUT device / directory for software"

    Am I missing a step or what is it expecting exactly as answer?

    If you cannot see any files to update, check for a .toc file in /usr/sys/inst.images, may be an old one, you can delete and recreate using inutoc

    Otherwise please advise what error / message you see after entering the directory into "INPUT device / directory for software"
